nem·a·to·des·ma (nem″ə-to-dezґmə) pl. nematodesmaґta [nemato- + Gr. desmos band, ligament] a bundle of parallel microtubules serving to support the cytostome and cytopharyngeal apparatus and associated organelles of certain ciliate protozoa; also seen in certain flagellate groups. Called also trichite.
