nal·trex·one hy·dro·chlo·ride (nal-trekґsōn) [USP] a synthetic congener of oxymorphone, chemically related to naloxone, that acts as an opioid antagonist; administered orally or intramuscularly in the treatment of opioid or alcohol abuse.
