postanoxic myoclonus

posthypoxic myoclonus myoclonus in patients who have had hypoxia or anoxia with heart failure and have gone through cardiopulmonary resuscitation. An acute form with status epilepticus is life-threatening. A chronic form occurs in patients with a relatively normal level of consciousness and is called Lance-Adams syndrome.
