- myo·cho·sis (mi″o-koґsis) [myo- + Gr. chōsis a piling up] shortening of the circular muscle and taeniae of the colon, resulting in a corrugated appearance and a narrowing of the lumen, caused by the deposition of elastin in contracted form; seen in diverticulosis and some prediverticular conditions.
