mushroom poisoning caused by ingestion of Amanita pantherina or A. muscaria, which elaborate muscarine. It is marked by such symptoms as tearing, sweating, salivation, persistent peristalsis, retching and vomiting, contraction of the pupil and ciliary muscles, acute excitement, delirium, and coma.
