thromboembolic meningoencephalitis
an acute type of septicemia of cattle, characterized by fever, ataxia, blindness, coma, and death within hours, caused by infection with Haemophilus somnus. Called also sleeper syndrome. See also Haemophilus septicemia of cattle.
