eosinophilic meningitis
meningitis characterized by an increase in lymphocytes and a high percentage of eosinophils in the cerebrospinal fluid; it usually results from infection with the rat lungworm, Angiostrongylus cantonensis. Called also eosinophilic meningoencephalitis.
