left margin of heart
the rounded margin separating the sternocostal and left surfaces of the heart, formed mainly by the left ventricle but also including a small part of the left atrium and extending obliquely from the left atrium to the apex of the heart in a curve that is convex to the left. Called also left border, obtuse border or obtuse m. of heart.
