Malpighia

Malpighia
Mal·pigh·ia (mal-pigґe-ə) [Marcello Malpighi, Italian anatomist, 1628–1694] a genus of tropical American fruit-bearing shrubs and trees of the family Malpighiaceae. M. glabґra, M. punicifoґlia, and M. uґrens are all called acerola or Barbados cherry and their fruit is rich in vitamin C.
