Dandy-Walker malformation
- Dandy-Walker malformation
- a congenital anomaly caused by failure of the roof of the fourth ventricle to develop during embryogenesis, characterized by cystic dilatation of the fourth ventricle, absence or hypoplasia of the vermis, and enlargement of the posterior fossa; hydrocephalus is usually present. Called also Dandy-Walker deformity or syndrome.
