Mees lines

Mees lines
single or multiple transverse white bands on the fingernails, signifying a change in composition of the nail, seen especially with arsenic poisoning and other trace element poisonings; they have also been reported in leprosy, septicemia, dissecting aortic aneurysm, and acute and chronic renal failure. Called also Aldrich-Mees l's.
