acute monocytic leukemia

acute monocytic leukemia
an uncommon form of acute myelogenous leukemia in which the predominating cells are identified as monocytes; it can affect any age group. A few myelocytes may be present, but not as many as in acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Called also monocytic l. and Schilling l.
