io·do·meth·yl·nor·cho·les·ter·ol (i-o″do-meth″əl-nor″kə-lesґtər-ol) norcholesterol, a cholesterol analogue, iodinated with 131I, used in radionuclide imaging of the adrenal cortex. Called also NP-59.
