- immunoturbidimetry
- im·mu·no·tur·bi·dim·e·try (im″u-no-tər-bĭ-dimґə-tre) a type of nephelometry that tests for a given antigenic substance (such as albumin or apolipoprotein) by immunologic techniques. A sample is diluted, mixed with antibody to the substance under investigation, and incubated; then a beam of light is passed through the solution and the reduction in light transmission by antigen-antibody complexes is measured by spectrophotometry. Called also immunonephelometry.
