hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans

hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans
a rare, possibly autosomal dominant skin disorder, usually seen in the third or fourth decade of life, characterized by discolored, hyperkeratotic, scaly papules on the lower limb and sometimes the trunk, thigh, or upper limb. It is usually associated with punctate keratoses on the palms and soles. Histologically there is a lack of keratinosomes, with reduction of keratohyalin granules in the epidermis underlying the lesions. Called also Flegel disease.
