ba·cam·pi·cil·lin hy·dro·chlo·ride (bə-kam″pĭ-silґin) [USP] a semisynthetic penicillin of the aminopenicillin group, which is hydrolyzed to ampicillin during absorption from the gastrointestinal tract and has the same actions and uses as ampicillin. Administered orally.
