benign cephalic histiocytosis
a rare, self-limited skin disorder usually seen on the faces of young children, characterized by comma-shaped, discolored macules and papules that contain macrophages. Some authorities consider this condition, benign fibrous histiocytoma, and juvenile xanthogranuloma to be variants of each other.
