Hemi·scor·pi·us (hem″e-skorґpe-əs) a genus of scorpions of the family Hemiscorpiidae, found in southwestern Asia from the Arabian Peninsula to Pakistan. H. leptuґrus has a venomous bite that causes serious skin wounds.
