lumbar puncture headache
headache occurring a few hours after lumbar puncture, due to lowering of intracranial pressure after leakage of cerebrospinal fluid; see also post–lumbar puncture syndrome. Called also post–dural puncture, post–lumbar puncture, postspinal, or post–spinal puncture h., and spinal h.
