- γ-glutamylcyclotransferase
- γ-glu·ta·myl·cy·clo·trans·fer·ase (gloo″tə-məl-si″klo-transґfər-ās) [EC 2.3.2.4] an enzyme of the transferase class that catalyzes the hydrolytic cyclization of glutamyl–amino acid to form 5-oxoproline and a free amino acid. The reaction is part of the γ-glutamyl cycle for transporting amino acids across the plasma membrane.
