- α-L-fucosidase
- α-L-fu·co·si·dase (fu-koґsĭ-dās) [EC 3.2.1.51] an enzyme of the hydrolase class that catalyzes cleavage of terminal α-linked L-fucose residues from fucosides. The reaction is important in the degradation of fucose-containing oligosaccharides and glycoproteins. Deficiency of the enzyme, an autosomal recessive trait, results in fucosidosis.
