high frequency
1. said of any periodic event or process that recurs at a rate greater than a specified norm. 2. an alternating current where frequency in cycles per second is high in reference to a certain standard. 3. a frequency of sound waves that is above a certain standard such as middle C. 4. the rate of oscillation in an alternating current exceeding the rate at which muscular contraction ceases, approximately 10,000 per second.
