atel·op·id·tox·in (a-təl-opґid-toksin) a potent dialyzable toxin derived from the skin of frogs of the genus Atelopus, of Central and South America. The LD50> in mice is 16 μg/kg. Its chemical and pharmacological nature has not been fully defined.
