Japanese spotted fever

Japanese spotted fever
an acute infection occurring in Japan and caused by Rickettsia japonica, transmitted by ticks of the family Ixodidae; characterized by fever and headache and the appearance of an eschar and rash. Called also Oriental spotted f.
