[USP] a sterile, frozen concentrate of antihemophilic factor prepared from the coagulation factor VIII–rich cryoprotein fraction of human venous plasma; used for autologous replacement of factor VIII in patients with hemophilia A and for the treatment of von Willebrand disease, hypofibrinogenemia, and coagulation factor XIII deficiency, administered intravenously.
