DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase
DNA (cy·to·sine-5-)-meth·yl·trans·fer·ase (siґto-sēn meth″əl-transґfər-ās) [EC 2.1.1.37] official nomenclature for DNA methyltransferases (q.v.) that catalyze the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosylmethionine to the C5 position of cytosine in DNA.
