any inborn error of metabolism involving abnormal structure or metabolism of collagen; the term includes Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, cutis laxa, osteogenesis imperfecta, and epidermolysis bullosa. Collagen disorder is not to be confused with collagen disease (q.v.).
