Meyer-Betz disease

Meyer-Betz disease
a rare familial disease of unknown etiology, marked by attacks of myoglobinuria that may be precipitated by strenuous exertion or possibly by an infection, resulting in tenderness, swelling, and weakness of muscles of varying intensity. It may occur with or without diffuse chronic myopathy or dystrophy. Called also idiopathic or familial myoglobinuria.
