diclofenac sodium

diclofenac sodium
the sodium salt of diclofenac, administered orally in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis and also for a variety of nonrheumatic inflammatory conditions. It is also applied topically to the conjunctiva to inhibit miosis during and to reduce ocular inflammation or photophobia after certain kinds of ophthalmic surgery and to the skin to treat actinic keratoses.
