chronic actinic dermatitis
(CAD) a long-term form of photosensitivity dermatitis with an eczematous reaction to sunlight; the etiology is unknown, but in some patients it may be a continuation of photoallergic contact dermatitis after the allergen has been removed. Called also actinic reticuloid, persistent light reactivity, and photosensitive eczema.
