cys·ti·nyl ami·no·pep·ti·dase (sisґtĭ-nəl ə-me″no-pepґtĭ-dās) [EC 3.4.11.3] a zinc-containing enzyme released by the placenta that acts to break down oxytocin and vasopressin; called also oxytocinase and vasopressinase.
