Lцwenstein-Jensen culture medium

a solid medium containing asparagine, potato flour, glycerol, magnesium sulfate, malachite green, magnesium citrate, and whole eggs, used for the primary isolation of mycobacteria; the medium is solidified by heat coagulation of the egg.
