(ABC), avidin-biotin peroxidase complex a complex of avidin and biotinylated horseradish peroxidase that is added to a sample that has been treated with primary antibody specific for the antigen of interest and then with a biotinylated secondary antibody, which binds to an antigenic determinant on the primary antibody, so that several horseradish peroxidase molecules are localized to the site of the primary antigen.
