collagenoblast
col·lag·e·no·blast (kə-lajґə-no-blast) a cell that arises from a fibroblast and that as it matures is associated with the production of collagen; it may form cartilage and bone by metaplasia. Collagenoblasts proliferate at the site of chronic inflammation. Sometimes called also fibroblast.
