Clostridium septicum

Clostridium septicum
a toxicogenic species commonly found in animal intestines and soil, causing diseases such as braxy and malignant edema; in humans it is sometimes associated with gas gangrene. Six immunologic groups have been distinguished. Called also Ghon-Sachs bacillus.
