cis·a·pride (sisґə-prīd) an agent that enhances the release of acetylcholine at the myenteric plexus, formerly used as a prokinetic agent to promote gastric emptying in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and gastroparesis; withdrawn because of its association with severe cardiac arrhythmias.
