an·dro·stene·di·ol (an″dro-stēn-diґol) (-stēnґde-ol) a testosterone metabolite, C19H30O2, occurring in two isomeric forms, 3-trans,17-dihydroxy Δ5-androstene and 3-cis,17-dihydroxy Δ5-androstene, that may contribute to gonadotropin secretion.
