ch'ang shan
(chahng shahn) [Chinese] 1. Dichroa febrifuga. 2. the root of D. febrifuga, which contains the alkaloids dichroine, febrifugine, and isofebrifugine; used in Chinese medicine in the treatment of malaria because of its antiparasitic, emetic, and antipyretic properties.
