indurated cellulitis

indurated cellulitis
a hard, brawny induration of the skin, which may be painful and disabling; the usual site is the lower leg, generally proximal to the malleolus, although it can affect other areas and sometimes involves the entire circumference of the leg. The cause is low-grade inflammation with chronic venous insufficiency, such as in postphlebitic syndrome.
