- bam·ber·my·cins (bam″bər-miґsinz) an antibacterial antibiotic complex containing at least four components, with two (the A and C components) predominating; produced by various species of Streptomyces, as well as synthetically; used as a feed additive or food supplement for pigs, poultry, and calves. Called also moenomycins.
