articulationes carpi
[TA] carpal joints: any of the joints that connect the carpal bones together, comprising the joints between bones in a given row, distal and proximal; the joint between the distal and proximal rows (a. mediocarpalis); and the joint formed by the pisiform and triquetral bones (a. ossis pisiformis). Called also articulationes intercarpales [TA alternative] and intercarpal joints.
