[TA] posteromedial central arteries of posterior cerebral artery: origin, precommunicating part (P1 segment) of posterior cerebral artery; branches, none; distribution, anterior thalamus, lateral wall of third ventricle, and globus pallidus of lentiform nucleus. Called also paramedian arteries.
