“universal” antidote

“universal” antidote
a mixture of 2 parts activated charcoal, 1 part magnesium oxide, and 1 part tannic acid; given when the exact poison is not known. There is no true “universal” antidote and this mixture is no longer recommended by most authorities; activated charcoal alone is preferred.
