abatacept
ab·a·ta·cept (ab″ə-taґsept) a synthetic fusion protein produced by recombinant technology, comprising the extracellular domain of human cytotoxic T lymphocyte–associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4) linked to a portion of human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1), which acts as an inhibitor of T-cell activation; used in the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis unresponsive to other medications, administered intravenously.
