n.
a drug used to prevent asthma attacks and hay fever and to treat other allergic conditions, including allergic conjunctivitis. It is administered by inhalation as a nasal spray, or as eye drops, and may cause local irritation. Trade names: Cromogen, Intal, Rynacrom, Vividrin.
