sin·i·grin (sinґĭ-grin) potassium myronate, a glycoside found in black or brown mustard (Brassica nigra) and horseradish (Armoracia lapathifolia), from which allyl isothiocyanate is derived. Animals eating large quantities of these plants, especially their seeds, can develop fatal gastroenteritis.
