me·nin·go·pneu·mo·ni·tis (mə-ning″go-noo-mo-niґtis) a disease produced in experimental animals by the injection of the etiologic agent of psittacosis (Chlamydophila psittaci), and marked by acute meningitis and pneumonitis.
