un·der·sens·ing (unґdər-sens″ing) missed sensing of cardiac electrical signals by an artificial cardiac pacemaker, resulting in too frequent or irregular delivery of stimuli; causes include head dislodgment, malfunctioning of the pulse generator, fibrosis, infarct, and drugs.
