strepho·sym·bo·lia (stref″o-sim-boґle-ə) [strepho- + symbol + -ia] 1. a disorder of perception in which objects seem reversed, as in a mirror. 2. a type of dyslexia in which letters are perceived as in a mirror; it begins with confusion between similar but oppositely oriented letters (b-d, q-p) and there may be a tendency to reverse direction in reading.
