Plan·ta·go (plan-taґgo) the psylliums, a genus of herbs of the family Plantaginaceae whose seeds are used medicinally. There are three important species, P. inґdica L., P. ovaґta Forskal (blond psyllium), and P. psylґlium L. (Spanish psyllium).
